Terms and Conditions

Last updated 16 October 2026. These terms apply to your participation in the learning programme. They sit alongside the Terms of Use.

Enrolment

  • You take part once an instructor has created your account.
  • Fees, payment and refunds, where they apply, are set out in your agreement with CodeX2 or with your organisation. They are not handled on this website.
  • You must give accurate information. Your name is printed on your certificates.

Ethics and conduct

  • Practise attack techniques only in the academy’s simulated labs, or on systems you own or have written permission to test.
  • Testing a system without permission is illegal in most countries. You are responsible for what you do.
  • Do not share answers, solutions or assessment questions, and do not let anyone else sit your assessments.
  • Treat instructors and other learners with respect.

Assessments and the bootcamp

  • The pass mark for assessments is 70%. You can retake an assessment.
  • Labs and knowledge checks on the portal are scored automatically. In the bootcamp, instructors assess the mid-term, final exam, final project and attendance. The bootcamp pass mark is 60% overall, with at least 50% in the final practical, all weekly lab reports handed in, and at least 85% attendance.

Certificates

  • A certificate is issued when you complete every lesson, lab and assessment of a course, or every course in a path.
  • Each certificate carries a unique number and can be checked by anyone on the public verification page.
  • We may withdraw a certificate that was issued by mistake or obtained by cheating. It will then show as revoked.
  • A certificate shows what you completed at CodeX2 Academy. It is not an accredited or regulated qualification and is not a certification from any exam body.

What we do not promise

We teach carefully, but we cannot promise a particular result, such as a job, a salary or a pass in an outside exam. Labs are simulations and real systems can behave differently.

Suspension and ending

We or your instructor may suspend or end your participation if you break these terms. You may stop at any time by telling your instructor.

Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, CodeX2 is not liable for indirect loss or for loss that results from how you use what you learn. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do.

Contact

You can reach CodeX2 through the contact page, or ask your instructor.
